Pet portrait artist Carole Reece

Background

ReeceArt Studio owner and artist, Carole Reece, has always had a love for animals. She has been blessed to have several wonderful pets, mostly dogs and cats, over the years

Carole also has a deep passion and natural ability for creating. She is always interested in new aspects of art. She finds her inspiration in color and has a natural ability to make it work. Carole works with pencil, charcoal, colored pencil, soft pastel, acrylics, oil, clay, polymer clay, and is looking forward to welding in the near future.

Carole has studied different art techniques under Floyd Tunson, Anne Rowe, John Wier, Anne McClellan-Dunn, Nancy Stage Robinson, Bill Hyer, Tish Lacy-ReedMarie BaehrLaurie Kampe.and  Deb Komitor She studied art education at Arizona University and has had many classes at Bemis School of Art.

Carole is a Cottonwood Center for the Arts Studio Artist and instructor for Young Masters 8-12 year olds.  She is also a member of the Pikes Peak Studio Tour.  

Being the animal lover she is, Carole works together with Abby Kreuser and Purple Mountain Coffee, creating Perks for Pups!  Perks for pups is great coffee with Carole's art as the labels and 30% gets donated to rescues and shelters.  Carole works closely with Operation Baghdad Pups and donates many portraits to the soldiers.  Carole also donates many gift cerfiticates to rescue events such as Pikes Peak Humane Society Furrrr Ball, All Breed Rescue and Training Whine and Cheese, Dreampower Whiskers and Wine as well as non aminal events Denver Hospice Mask Project, Zonta Glass slipper,  Queen Palmer Butterfly Project. City of Colorado Springs "the Art of Recycling and the Alzheimers Association Memories and Making Art.
